The Heart & Family Health Institute is the only multi-specialty medical practice of its kind on the Treasure Coast, bringing together under one roof a group of highly trained, experienced physicians, and extensive state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment facilities. Our staff of Board Certified primary care and specialist physicians work as a team, consulting regularly and collaborating to provide patients with thorough, in-depth care.
The Institute has been recognized for its utilization of sophisticated electronic medical record (EMR) software. The practice-wide implementation of this ‘paperless’ system has yielded record keeping of exceptional detail and accuracy, and has enhanced the security of medical records. In addition, the speed with which test results can be reported to physicians and their follow up orders recorded, allows communication of results to patients in a very short time frame.
By maintaining all of a patient’s medical history in a single electronic file available to each physician, all aspects of patient care are effectively coordinated and maximized. With this system, your electronic ‘chart’ can be immediately accessed on a computer by the doctor who is treating you, and essential information (such as test results, medication history, allergies, x-rays, etc.) can be retrieved and reviewed at the moment it is needed.
Because we have our own laboratory and extensive diagnostic and imaging facilities on site, we can schedule studies without delay, and report test results promptly to physicians for use in evaluating current health status and establishing treatment plans.
